Transformers

While I was doing the dishes, my toy transformers were right beside me. But just before my eyes my toy came alive! Its name was Bumble Bee, a car that goes very fast and a car that goes bbbbrrrom bbbrrrom. But then,
it said, “Hi my name is Bumble Bee”. The planet they came from is cybertron. The war against the autobots and the decepticons has lead them to the earth. The names of the autobots were Bumblebee, Ratchet, Ironhide, Jazz and the leader, Optimus Prime.

The autobots had to save the earth from Megatron and the decepticon's. All of us went to secure our area.
The decepticons plan was to create a bomb and place it in the power plant in the city so when it blows up it could form a black hole that can disintegrate the earth and suck up all the innocent people. The main thing we had to do was to protect the power plant. But just then, Star Screen and his companions struck us by surprise and was defending the power plant. We thought we would never get through, but we thought back and they retreated.

When we got to the power plant there was still a little more time. Megatron and Optimus were fighting, it was like they were even in their skills. Optimus was fighting to save the earth while Megatron was fighting to destroy the earth. But when Megatron saw that I had held on the cube to activate the bomb, He went after me. I had ran through the dust, Megatron had caught me and I placed the cube in his chest and that was the time that he had more power than ever, But then, the cube had too much power so Megatron collapsed. That was the day I met the autobots.

Armageddon

Today on Labour day (Monday 22 of October 2012) me and my brother went to Armageddon, the greatest place I ever went to! Armageddon is a place that is all about the latest in gaming. There were lots of different gaming activities and a lot of people. For example, laser tag is my favourite game. You have to pay $4 to enter. In laser tag you need a laser gun connected to the armour, so you can get shot, with the pretend laser, or shoot with.

Anyway, before me and my brother went to Armageddon, we had some lunch first at Carls Junior. I ordered a kids meal, which was a big cheese burger, chips, and a drink. I enjoyed it. Then we headed off to the bus stop at Glen Innes. We waited for quite some time, but eventually it came. When the bus finally arrived, we hopped in and rode to ASB show grounds. At the showgrounds, we saw lots of cars and people just outside the ASB show grounds. When we got in, there were thousands of people.

The first thing we did, was to have a look around. Since it was my first time there, my brother was helpful by showing me around. As he has already been to a few of these events, in the past few years. So I was glad that he took me. We also went looking for games, at the different areas. But then we met one of the creators of The Lord of The Rings, and The Hobbit. I thought that was really cool that we met them.

Next we played with the Nerf guns, but there was a big line, so we had to wait for ages and ages. There were three activity's to do in Nerf, and we got to do all of them. It was a lot of fun. We later played a PS3 game, on a HUGE TV. That was alot of fun too.

Also, my brother saw some of his friends, so we all hung out together, as a group. We decided to go back to playing on the PS3, on the huge screen, and danced to the Gangnam style music video. The DJ played the music and we all started Gangnam dancing. We also did some break dancing, as well. All of us were doing great, until we had to leave. We also won a few prices, for our dance moves too.

That was the best place I ever went to. I had a great time!

What is fencing

Fencing is an olympic sport.  A  metal foil which is the sword and white cloths and a black mask is used for your gear.
At the end of the metal foil is a button that detects when you have hit someone and that means you get a point.  Fencing was in the olympic games since 1896. Scientist or other people say that in about 1200 BC there is evidence that fencing has been used before, in that particular year.

My favourite athlete

Usain Bolt is a Jamaican sprinter and the fastest person in the world, for running in the 100 and 200 metre sprint!
He is so fast that everyone calls him lightning bolt. And is famous for being the best athlete.

Usain bolt has won 3 gold medals in the London olympics in this year of 2012. He is the only male to win 3 gold medals in track and field this years London . He also set the world record in the 4x100 relay.
Usain Bolt has competed in 3 different olympic events this year 2012. They are track and field events like 100,
200, and the 4x100m races.

Usain Bolt was born in 1986 on the 21st of August. Did you know Bolt has 37 athletics medals in total.
As a child, he first started sprinting in the annual national primary school races. He became the school's fastest runner. Bolt is from the island of Jamaica. The capital of the country is Kingston, it’s one of the biggest cities in Jamaica and the size of Jamaica is 453 square kilometres and 480 square kilometres. The population of Jamaica is 2,709,300.

I wish I could be successful like Usain Bolt.

The Immersion Assembly

Our topic at Pt England school was the olympics. We are going to learn a lot of olympics 2012.
The olympics started just over 100 years ago and every four years the olympics start, again and again.  Jesse Owens was the fastest man in the world.

In the school hall term 3, Miss George and team 1 interviewed Yvonne Williams and Dick Quax to see how they got famous. Yvonne did long jump and Dick came second in 5000 meter sprint.
Team 2 did practice practice practice makes perfect to tell us to never give up.

On team 3 the sports they did was gymnastics, horse riding and boxing. Did you know the boxing  was made in 1500 - 900 BC, though it didn’t have a name. Also the first boxing rules, called Broughton’s rules was made by champion Jack Broughton in 1743. Then team 4 did a movie about syncronised  swimming to talk about themselves and the swimming. When I got in class I saw the five rings, I didn’t know what they meant, until our teacher told us, it represents the five continents.
