Holiday Highlights 2014

A good way to start a holiday is to spend time with family and friends. My grandparents house was where I stayed. Another sun rises as a another morning for my Mum to go to work, but this time she took me.

Nothing really happened just pure quiet until we got home. Home was just up ahead waiting for us. We’ve just got inside when all the drama was happening in the kitchen. I walked in the kitchen feeling board to see what was going on. My family suddenly sang the birthday song and a cake was waiting to be eaten by me. Thats right, it was my birthday.

I got some cool presents mostly from my Mum
My Mum took me to a restaurant for my birthday. The culture was Thailand food. The food was great but the best was Thai pancakes with ice cream and fruits. I had a great time there for a while until it ended when I was too full.

This year term 4 we have been doing swimming at GI pools to learn how to swim. We have been chosen in groups. There is pool 1, 2 and 3. Some of us have help from swimming instructors because some of us aren’t  good at swimming this is pool 2 but others have their teaches to help them in the big pool this pool 3.

We have about two weeks of swimming lessons to do before the end of the year the big pool is half the size of a rugby field and the middle pools is quarter the size of a rugby field. The people that have an instructor go to the middle pool and the big pool have the their teacher, so as pool 1. In the end we learned new skills that helped us a lot.

Shark finning will be banned in new zealand because The people who finned the sharks dump them back in the water. The Conservation Minister Nick Smith Made the speech at Wellington on the weekends.

Dr Smith said that even though sharks might not be so cuddly or friendly but they are important as other animals and important part of the country’s marine diversity there are about 113 kind of sharks in New Zealand. The Government would take effect over two years.
